At Airo, we know that being a steward of this plant is about more than delivering high-quality products that you can trust – it’s about giving back to the community that has given us so much.
In a first-of-its-kind partnership, we are thrilled to announce that throughout the month of October and beyond, we are partnering with Bra Couture KC to support patients with breast cancer.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month,
Every year over 350,000 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer. When caught early and treated properly, the relative survival rate of breast cancer is 99%. But the burdens of navigating the journey of cancer are heavy, and often patients run up against issues from an unlikely source – their own insurance company.
This year, Airo is stepping up to help breast cancer patients with a limited edition Survivor Pink AiroPro vaporizer that comes with a “survivor” pin and sticker. With the launch of this vape, we hope to inspire awareness about the bravery and tenacity of cancer survivors and help generate funds for Bra Couture KC.
Bra Couture KC is an organization founded by Holly Smith, a breast cancer survivor, that supports both uninsured and underinsured cancer patients in the Kansas City area. Smith began Bra Couture KC because “no one should have to make decisions about their lives without adequate resources.”
Cancer is a trying journey, mentally, physically, and financially. Bra Couture KC wants to ensure that no one goes without crucial medical treatment due to insurance limitations. With funds from this partnership and the sale of the limited-edition Surivior Pink vaporizer, Bra Couture KC will provide funds for breast cancer patients and their families throughout the Kansas City area. In 2024 alone, Bra Couture KC has raised over half a million dollars to provide medication, transportation to appointments, wigs, surgical supplies, prosthetics, and more to breast cancer patients.
The History of Cannabis and Cancer
Cannabis and cancer have an intimate relationship, with many patients relying on the plant’s many medicinal properties to get through challenging cancer treatments.
Cancer was the first ailment listed on the Compassionate Use Act, the revolutionary 1999 bill that legalized medical marijuana in California. It was the first time that the medical applications of cannabis, particularly for cancer patients, were recognized by a government entity. From here, cannabis’ acceptable use grew, as research began to identify other medical applications.
The plant’s ability to relieve nausea, increase appetite, reduce inflammation and pain throughout the body, and help patients fall asleep has made cannabis an important part of thousands of cancer patient’s journeys. Airo vaporizers provide rapid-acting cannabis relief from nausea and pain without the harmful effects of smoke and combustion.
The Survivor Pink vaporizer is limited edition, and when it’s gone, it’s gone. Don’t miss your chance to add a new color to your Airo vape collection and, at the same time, provide financial support to breast cancer patients, closing the insurance gap for life-saving treatments.
Our commitment to doing what’s right extends beyond October – every day Airo is committed to providing the best and safest vaporizer on the market, going above and beyond to ensure that every puff is clean, delicious, and potent.
